Two convicted high risk sex offenders will soon be living at a rural home in Lomira on supervised release. On Tuesday, Dodge County Circuit Court Judges Brian Pfitzinger and Joseph Sciascia approved placing sex offenders Jonathan Miller and Robert Larson Jr. at W462 Highway 67 in the Village of Lomira. 5-18-16 car-pedestrian fatality-sheboygan county

TOWN OF WILSON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a person has died after being hit on an interstate in Sheboygan County. The sheriff's department says a pedestrian was killed shortly before 1 a.m. on Interstate 43 near Highway 28 in the Town of Wilson. The northbound interstate lanes were closed temporarily. Officials haven't said why the victim was on the interstate.

A new 24/7 Wall Street ranking lists seven Wisconsin cities  in the top ten of the 20 drunkest cities in America.  Appleton is number one, followed by Oshkosh, Green Bay and Madison.  LaCrosse is 6th, Fond du Lac is ranked 7th and Eau Claire 9th.  Wausau, Sheboygan, Racine, Janesville and Milwaukee are also on the list.   The report lists four metrics:  percent of adults drinking to excess, driving deaths involving alcohol, premature death rate […]

5-18-16 fdl county sheriff’s office busts underage drinking party

Dozens of  teenagers were cited for underage drinking and an adult  was cited for providing alcohol at a large underage drinking party in Fond du lac County.   Sheriff’s chief deputy Mark Strand says shortly before 11pm Friday deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Byron for an anonymous report of a possible underage drinking party.  Strand says when deputies arrived there were approximately 100 individuals ranging in age from 17-23 years of age. 5-18-16 fdl drug drop results

Fond du Lac county law enforcement officials collectged 2,275 pounds of no longer needed prescriptions and over the counter medications collected and disposed of during the Spring Cleaning Drug Drop collection.  That's a 29 percent increase over last year.  The Fond du Lac Drug Drop Box  has moved into the Police Department lobby at 126 N. Main Street.  Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am –4:00 pm.

5-18-16 beaver dam man arrested for gas station robbery

A Beaver Dam man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a gas station in December.    Thirty three year old Joshua Benson faces charges of robbery in connection with the December 8th robbery of the BP gas station in the town of Beaver Dam.  Benson is being held in the Dodge County Jail on unrelated charges.

5-18-16 former fox lake correctional officer accused of sexually assaulting inmates

A former Fox Lake Correctional officer is accused of sexually assaulting three inmates over the course of several months.  Thirty-two year old Alex Andre Wouts of Poy Sippi is charged with 5 counts of second degree sexual assault by correctional staff.  He made his initial Dodge County Circuit Court appearance Monday.  Three inmates accuse Wouts of preforming sexual acts on them on several occasions.  An investigation was opened in December […]
