5-14-16 fdl grocery store under new ownership

A longtime popular Fond du Lac grocery store is under new ownership.  Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held this week for Klutz’s Piggly Wiggly.  Jeff Klutz is the new owner.  "We're very happy and excited to be in the Fond du lac community,"  Klutz told WFDL news.  "This is our third store venture.  We own two other stores in West Bend and Campbellsport."

This year is the 150th anniversary of Memorial Day.  The 2016 Rosendale Memorial Day commemoration will include the dedication of a new stone at the Rosendale Veterans Memorial. 5-14-16 marian university commencement

Marian University will hold its 75th spring commencement Saturday, May 14. Activities  will begin with a Graduation Liturgy in Dorcas Chapel at 10:30 a.m. The graduation ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is held outdoor on the Marian University quad.  Author Candice Millard will serve as commencement speaker and will receive an honorary Doctor of Letters degree. Millard is a former writer and editor for National Geographic magazine.

5-14-16 uw oshkosh graduation ceremonies

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will host its 142nd spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 14.  More than 1,300 undergraduate and more than 190 graduate students will be recognized as UW Oshkosh’s newest graduates—bringing UW Oshkosh’s alumni base to nearly 90,000.  The ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center, 738 High Ave., on the UW Oshkosh campus. The ceremonies will last about two hours.
