The director of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters says the removal of language from the state DNR website that said humans and greenhouse gases are the main cause of climate change is appalling. The website now says the cause is debatable and gone are sentences attributing global warming to human activities and rising carbon dioxide levels. League director Kerry Schumann says she believes governor Scott Walker is responsible for the change. “I do think this is politically driven,” Schumann told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. “I think this is a politically driven decision coming from the top which is likely the governor’s office.” The vast majority of scientists agree burning fossil fuels has increased greenhouse gases and caused warming. A 2014 United Nations report found human influence on climate change is clear…that there is no debate.
