The Department of Public Works says a portion of West Division Street between Macy Street and Main Street will be closed today. West Division Street will be closed to allow a Contractor to install a water service for fire protection for 15 W. Division Street. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route as there will not be a signed detour route.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
