Fond du Lac United Way director Amber Kilawee says dialing 211 connects you with quick and easy access to community-based health and human services information. Kilawee says a tailgate party is being held from 11:30am to 1:30pm Friday at Society Insurance on Camelot Drive.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
