1-19-17 fdl high school student charged with making terrorist threats

A Fond du Lac High School student who wrote a threatening note found in a hallway at Fond du Lac High School this month has been charged with making terrorist threats.  Seventeen year old Austin Hill made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance this week.  Judge Robert Wirtz ordered $2000 cash bail.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 26th.  According to a criminal complaint Hill wrote on the note, […]

1-19-17 state sues former uw-oshkosh chancellor, business officer

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin System regents have filed a lawsuit against UW-Oshkosh's former chancellor and chief business officer over alleged improper financial transactions with the school's foundation.  The lawsuit, filed Wednesday, alleges Chancellor Richard Wells and Chief Business Officer Thomas Sonnleitner illegally transferred millions of dollars from the university to its foundation between 2010 and 2014 to help the foundation participate in five real estate projects. 1-19-17 man to spend the rest of his life in prison for killing toddler in fdl

A man convicted of  killing a toddler and severely injuring a second child by standing on top of the children  will spend the rest of his life in prison.  At a hearing Wednesday Fond du lac judge Dale English sentenced 30 year old Daniel Griffin to  65 years in prison and 35 years of extended supervision. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Republican co-chairs of the Legislature's budget committee say a new tax revenue forecast shows "Wisconsin is on solid ground." Sen. Alberta Darling and Rep. John Nygren released a joint statement Wednesday in reaction to the report from the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau. The report shows the state will collect nearly $455 million more than projected in November.
