Roads are slippery in the Fond du lac area.  No serious injuries were reported in a head on crash at Military and Pioneer Road shortly before 7am.   Ambulances have responded to a couple reports of people falling on slippery sidewalks.

1-10-17 fdl school board reverses decision on administrator pay hikes

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court chief justice wants raises of more than $20,000 a year for herself and other judges, saying judicial pay in Wisconsin is among the lowest in the country. Chief Justice Pat Roggensack is asking Gov. Scott Walker to include a 16 percent pay hike in his upcoming budget proposal. 1-10-17 attorney general proposes pay raises for prosecutors

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel wants to give a raise to every prosecutor in the state in each of the next two years.  Schimel says he's asked Gov. Scott Walker to use $4.8 million in revenue from consumer protection lawsuit settled by the Department of Justice to pay prosecutors. 1-10-17 two fdl residents treated for carbon monoxide poisoning

Two Fond du Lac residents are recovering after being poisoned by carbon monoxide.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says paramedics were called to a residence on Pioneer Parkway for a report of two people who were feeling sick.   "The poeple had flu-like symptoms but when we took one of our monitors, tested the air in the house, we  found very high levels of carbon monoxide in the home,"  O'Leary told […]

1-10-17 traffic fatalities

The Wisconsin Department of  Transportation says traffic fatalities increased by nearly six percent in 2016.   Wisconsin ended the year with 588 traffic fatalities, which was 33 more than 2015 and 40 more than the five-year average.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the were 12 traffic fatalities in Dodge County last year up from 11 the year before.    In Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says […]

The Fond du Lac School District will again be offering a half-day, 4-year-old-kindergarten (4K) experience for Fall 2017. Children who will be 4 years old on or by September 1, 2017, are eligible to attend.
