MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The number of Wisconsin residents signing up for federal health plans has been about 50,000 less than last year although there is still a month to go in signup. 1-4-17 fdl man arrested in appleton for 11th owi

Appleton police say a Fond du Lac man was arrested on New Year’s for his 11th-OWI.  Fifty two year old  Steve A. Johnson, was arrested after police responded to a possible hit and run in the 100 block of South State Street.  Johnson was arrested a few blocks from the crash scene.  Nobody was injured. Johnson had a valid driver's license at the time of the incident.

There could be a primary election for two seats on the Fond du Lac School Board.  Incumbent Mark Strand has until 5pm to submit signatures for re-election.  Challenger Greg Freiherr has filed his nomination papers.  Dan Sitter, Monica Walk and Ricardo Munoz have until 5pm to file papers.  If there are five candidates there would be a primary election in February. 1-3-17 slippery roads and dense fog

Several area schools are getting off to a late start this morning because of slippery road conditions and dense fog.  Patches of black ice are making for dangerous road conditions.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says there have been a couple of vehicle run-offs this morning.  A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10am for  our listening area including Fond du Lac, Dodge, Sheboygan, Washington and Winnebago counties.
