1-25-17 local unemployment rate holds steady in december

There is not much change in the local unemployment rate in December.  The city of Fond du Lac unemployment rate was unchanged from November at 3.1 percent.  The Fond du Lac County rate was up a tenth of a percent to three percent and Dodge County’s rate increased the same amount to 3.3 percent.

A former secretary at a Waupun school is accused of stealing money from two school accounts.  Kathleen Schwark is charged with theft in a business setting.  Waupun Deputy Police Chief Scott Louden says Schwark is accused of stealing the money from the schools’ sunshine and soda accounts while working as a secretary at Meadowview Primary School.  Louden says Schwark admitted to investigators that she took the money from a school […]
