The League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area is hosting a Candidate Interview Session for all Ripon School District Board candidates on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:00pm in Ripon City Hall Council Chambers. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The event will be taped and broadcast on the Ripon Cable channel. This session will provide the voters of the Ripon School District information on each of the candidates allowing voters to make informed decisions. Following the primary election on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 a voter forum for the six remaining candidates will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017. Of the eight candidates invited the following have agreed to participate: Jennifer Dudzinski, Kim Mach, Nicole Kuntz Menard, Sherry Muscavitch, Amy Pollesch and Joshua Rieder. Candidates who declined to participate are: Barb Schultz and Tom Stellmacher. Each candidate has been sent an identical list of basic questions to address at the session. Upon arrival candidates will draw numbers to determine the order of appearance. Candidates will have seven minutes to introduce themselves and to present their responses. Candidates are welcome to bring their prepared remarks. The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League was founded in 1920 by Carrie Chapman Catt who was born in Ripon, Wisconsin.
