2-17-17 three wisconsin residents indicted on federal drug charges

A Juneau man is one of three people indicted by a federal grand jury on drug charges.   Forty six  year old Michael Marks was arrested Wednesday in Beaver Dam on a charge of possession and  of methamphetamine.  His cousin, 44 year old William  Marks of Columbus and an Eau Claire woman are charged with distributing methamphetamine.   The charge carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.  The charges  […]

2-17-17 fundraising effort underway for fdl miracle league

(AP) — The University of Wisconsin-Madison's student government is demanding free tuition for black students.  The Associated Students Of Madison adopted a resolution Wednesday saying blacks were legally barred from education during slavery and that the flagship school remains out of reach for students of color. 2-17-17 new dnr estimates show hunters took more deer

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Updated data from the state Department of Natural Resources shows hunters killed about 4,280 more  deer during this past nine-day gun season than they did in 2015.  Preliminary estimates after the season ended in November put the kill total at 196,785, down from 198,057 in 2015.
