2-23-17 sheriff’s office warning: stay off lakes and ponds

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to stay off ice on area lakes and ponds.  Unseasonably warm weather coupled with strong winds and rain have rapidly deteriorated ice conditions.  Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Tadych says the area DNR warden says most sturgeon spearers have pulled their shanties off the lake.

2-23-17 aaa study-worst behaved drivers

A new report from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that young millennials top the list of worst behaved drivers.  The report found that 88 percent of drivers ages 19-24 engaged in at least one risky behavior behind the wheel in the past 30 days.  AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says the dangerous behaviors, which increase crash risk, including texting while driving, red-light running and speeding. 2-22-17 four families displaced by apartment fire in berlin

Four families are displaced following an apartment fire in the City of Berlin.  The fire happened Tuesday evening just before 8:00 p.m. at the Quarry Street Apartments.
