MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is recommending spending $803 million on state building projects over the next two years, with nearly $450 million of the funding coming from new borrowing. 2-22-17 record high temperatures in forecast

More record high temps are expected across Wisconsin Wednesday.   National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Gehring says temperatures throughout Wisconsin are more than double the average for this time of year.  "Temperatures for the Fond du Lac area will be upper 60s,"  Gehring told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.  "Some areas in southern Wisconsin, maybe close to Fond du Lac, could get near 70."   Gehring says its […]

2-22-17 grammy winning singer-songwriter coming to fdl

Three time Grammy award winning blues rock singer-songwriter Delbert McClinton is coming to Fond du lac.   The announcement was made last night at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts annual meeting.  Thelma director Kevin Miller says McClinton will be performing a free outdoor concert at the Thelma on Saturday August 12th.

2-22-17 beaver dam man gets maximum prison sentence for threatening police

A Beaver Dam man has received the maximum sentence for threatening police.   Dodge County Circuit judge Joseph Sciascia sentenced 47 year old Steven Bilke, to six years in prison and four years extended supervision for threats to law enforcement and disorderly conduct.  Last May officers responded to a domestic incident in Beaver Dam where Bilke confronted them. Daniel Herdt was selected as Marian University's Veteran of the Month for February.   Herdt served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 15 years, from 1973-1988, and enjoyed traveling from New York to Alaska, and even Portugal, during his service.
