One of nine people arrested in a major heroin bust has been bound over for trial. Allen Ferguson waived his preliminary hearing Friday on 16 counts of manufacture deliver of heroin. Ferguson waived his preliminary hearing Friday in Fond du Lac County circuit court. Ferguson is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $5 million cash bond. Fond du lac police chief Bill Lamb says Ferguson was a major player in the heroin ring. ” This is a significant source of heroin trafficking in Fond du Lac and throughout our area and so when you compare what we’re alleging to be involved as far as the amounts with the cash bond, you can certainly draw some types of conclusions there,” Lamb told WFDL news. Lamb says while last week’s bust is significant, it remains to be seen what type of impact the arrests will have on heroin distribution in the area.
