Fond du Lac School District commends Renee Nolan, Technology Integration Specialist, for her recent selection as the 2017 Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) Excellence Award winner. Nolan was recognized for making significant contributions to the library, media, and educational technology profession and for several outstanding series of accomplishments within this field of education. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. James Sebert, commented, “We couldn’t be prouder of Renee for her receipt of this award and what she brings to our District each and every day.” Her nominator and former colleague, Kim Schneider, currently at Markesan School District, shared, “Renee Nolan is an outstanding educator who is dedicated to infusing educational technology to support high-quality instruction. Renee has been a part of the Instructional Technology team in Fond du Lac since 2012. She is the leader in the one-to-one initiative, classroom models, Haiku/PowerSchool LMS and Google Apps for Education. Renee works tirelessly to help all students and all teachers to grow in the use of technology applications that will enhance learning. She is a technology innovator, a reflective educator, and a model of excellence in learning for the staff and students she works with daily.” WEMTA is an independent professional association serving school library media and instructional technology professionals.
