3-21-17 fdl high school musicians to perform with boston symphony orchestra

3-21-17 rolling meadows golf course opens on first day in spring

The Fond du Lac County Rolling Meadows golf course celebrated the first day of spring by opening nine holes for play.   Golf pro Jeremiah Hoffman says it was an unusual winter that saw the course open for a couple of days last month.  Hoffman says the course has come through the winter in good shape.

3-20-17 birkholz memorial service

Fond du Lac police gathered at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Hamilton Park this morning to remember an officer who died in the line of duty.   A memorial ceremony was held for Officer Craig Birkholz.  Birkholz was fatally shot March 20th,  2011  after he and another officer responded to a home on South Lincoln Avenue at approximately 6:00 am for an emergency call.   When Officer Birkholz arrived, he […]

3-20-17 fdl high school transgender students want changes to district anti-discrimination policy

3-20-17 princeton fire-homicide investigation

PRINCETON, Wis. (AP) — Princeton police say they are investigating the death of a person found in a house fire as a homicide.  Police say on Saturday that crews found a body while investigating a Monday house fire.  The Green Lake County Coroner's Office has not released the person's name or cause of death, but preliminary autopsy findings lead authorities to believe it was a homicide.  Police say one person […]

3-20-17 acer tablet that caught fire sent to company for analysis

The Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Division Chief of Fire Prevention says a computer tablet that caught on fire last week at an elementary school has been sent to the company for examination.  Troy Haase says it appears the Acer E-Reader tablet at Roberts Elementary School was destroyed by spontaneous combustion.  Haase says a company representative told him there haven’t been any safety problems reported with that particular model.
