3-18-17 woman sues milwaukee county jail for chaining her while giving birth

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A woman is suing the Milwaukee County jail, alleging that deputies refused to unchain her while she was giving birth because of a jail policy requiring inmates to remain shackled while they're hospitalized, regardless of the circumstances. The federal lawsuit filed Tuesday seeks class-action status, claiming at least 40 other women experienced similar circumstances at the jail since 2011.

3-17-17 fire destroys barn, pole shed in eldorado

The investigation is underway to try to determine the cause of a massive fire that destroyed  a barn and attached pole shed in Eldorado.  Ten dairy cows perished in the fire.  Firefighters from 15 area departments were called to the Laura and Greg Rickland farm on Lincoln Road in the town of Eldorado at about 3:30am Friday.  The 18 thousand square foot structure  was  destroyed.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s […]

3-17-17 waupun common council takes steps for new truck stop
