3-9-17 horicon teen dies from injuries suffered in dodge county car crash

A Horicon teenager has died from injuries suffered in a crash in Dodge County earlier this month.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 19 year old Destiny Kogler died Thursday at a Madison hospital.  The crash happened March 2nd on State Highway 33 near Fairfield Road, in the town of Oak Grove.  A preliminary investigation shows that Kogler lost control of her car on snow covered Sth 33, crossed the […]

3-9-17 campbellsport man charged with tax fraud

A Campbellsport man is charged in federal court with tax fraud.  Sixty nine year old Robert Spoerl is charged with 10 counts of assisting in the filing of false federal income tax returns, 16 counts of theft and two counts of identity theft.  The 28-count indictment accuses Spoerl of  committing $150,000 worth of tax fraud while he ran a tax preparation service.  Spoerl is alleged to have used clients’ personal […]

3-9-17 strong winds topple tree onto house in fdl

Nobody was injured when strong winds toppled a tree on the roof of a house in Fond du Lac.  The incident happened at 265 Dahl Place Wednesday afternoon.   Winds started to die down last night after two consecutive days of sustained winds at 20-30 mph with gusts near 60 mph.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new analysis shows most Wisconsin taxpayers would see a $44 reduction in their income taxes under Gov. Scott Walker's budget.  The Legislative Fiscal Bureau released a report Wednesday analyzing the new tax brackets in Walker's budget.
