4-11 Beaver Dam Fire Displaces 24 Families

todayApril 11, 2017

An early morning fire at an apartment complex in Beaver Dam has 24 families scrambling to figure out where they’ll be sleeping tonight.
The Beaver Dam Fire Department says it responded to a call just after midnight this (Tuesday) morning of a fire in an apartment at 104 Lakecrest Drive.
Crews arrived to find five people trapped in the apartment where the fire started, and multiple people hanging out of second floor windows.
Everyone eventually got out of the building, with 15 people treated for injuries.
The fire was contained to a single apartment unit, but smoke damage has rendered the entire building uninhabitable.
The Red Cross is tending to the needs of the 24 families displaced by the fire.
