The Outagamie County Coroner’s Office releases the name of a man killed in a weekend crash in the Town of Maine. The victim was identified as Jeff Meyer, 39. An autopsy will be performed today at the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to County Hwy. M, south of Hwy. F, at just after 6:00 a.m. Sunday. Authorities say the man was driving north on County Hwy. M and drove into the west ditch, where he lost control of this vehicle and it overturned. Meyer was ejected from the vehicle. Officials say his injuries caused his death. He was the only person in the vehicle. The crash is under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
