A rollover crash in Fond du lac caused a power outage in the surrounding area Friday morning. Shortly before 1:30am Friday the Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a rollover accident on E. Scott St. at Wettstein Ave. A 31 year old Fond du Lac area man was traveling westbound on E. Scott St. when the vehicle he was operating struck a parked car, a power pole and a tree causing the vehicle to rollover, he sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. Several homes in the area were without power for several hours until power could be resorted. The accident remains under investigation. The Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted by Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
