The Waupun School superintendent says additional students face punishment in connection with a snap chat threatening violence at the Waupun Junior-Senior High School. A 15 year old student faces expulsion for making the threat and Gubin says the investigation is continuing. Responding to concerns that the student who made the threat had been bullied. “I don’t want to see any student have to deal with any type of bullying, any type of pressure, and we want to get down to the bottom of it,” Gubin told WFDL news. “If there are other students doing these things, we will investigate and those investigations do take time.” Gubin says regardless of the circumstances, lashing out by making threats is not the answer either.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
