Fond du Lac High School’s Chess Club team of John Drehmel, Max Gilles, Oliver Kuphal, Karan Singh, and Ben Vandermolen took first place at the Wisconsin Scholastic State Chess Championship on April 22 in the K-12 U800 division with a nearly perfect score of 19 out of 20 points.
