MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Native American tribe in northern Wisconsin is asking a federal judge to block another band from expanding a competing casino.  The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday in Madison. 4-19-17 fire destroys shed in dodge county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a large shed in Dodge County.  Firefighters were called to the scene on County Road A in the town of Trenton Tuesday morning.  Initially, one of the occupants was unaccounted for, but was soon located safe.  Firefighters arrived to find a 50’ x 200’ tool shed fully involved in fire.  The shed contained lawn tractors, and several other farm implements.  Crews were […]

4-19-17 merkel elected council president

The Fond du Lac city council has a new president.  Karen Merkel was unanimously elected president at the council’s organizational meeting Tuesday.  Merkel was first appointed to City Council in May of  2013 to complete a  vacant term and elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2016.   She replaces Lee Ann Lorrigan.   Derek TerBeest was voted in as Council Vice-President.
