4-17-17 fdl lead pipe replacement program update

The Fond du Lac Public Works director says 148 homes will be required to have their lead water pipes replaced this year…but the cost is less than anticipated.  Jordan Skiff told the city council this week that assements on all but seven of the homes have come in under $3000.   Skiff says assessment  estimates were mailed out on April 7 to property owners who are scheduled for lead pipe replacements […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin license plates have featured six characters for more than 30 years. But, that's about to change.  The state Department of Transportation expects to begin issuing plates with seven numbers and letters beginning later this month as the inventory of six-character plates dwindles.
