4-14-17 investigators say overloaded extension cords may have started fdl garage fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a garage in Fond du Lac.  Firefighters were called to the scene at 561 West Scott Street to a report of smoke and flames coming from a garage.   Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says upon arrival, fire crews found the garage fully involved with fire.  Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, but not before it caused extensive damage.  The fire […]

(AP) — State health officials have agreed to pay the federal government nearly $7 million to settle allegations that they artificially decreased food stamp error rates to collect bonuses. JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin fugitive suspected of robbing a gun store and mailing an anti-government manifesto to the White House described the government as a gang of terrorists, writing that "We need to spill their blood!"  That's according to a portion of the manifesto verified with an unidentified law enforcement official. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court justices have reelected Chief Justice Patience Roggensack for another two-year term leading the court.  The court announced Roggensack's election in a statement Thursday.
