4-13-17 fire destroys fdl garage

4-13-17 two people going to prison in town of taycheeda heroin overdose death

Two Milwaukee residents convicted in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du lac man are going to prison.   At a hearing Tuesday Fond du Lac judge Dale English sentenced Angelique Kannenberg to 10 years in prison and four years of extended supervision.  Judge English sentenced Javon Wilson to six years in prison and four years of extended supervision.  Wilson and Kannenberg were convicted of first degree reckless homicide in […]

4-13-17 boyfriend charged in fatal fire

GREEN LAKE, Wis. (AP) — The boyfriend of a woman found dead following a house fire in Princeton has been charged in her death.  Prosecutors say Antonio Contreras has admitted shooting Grace Reiter-Rudolph in the head several times before he set fire to their house last month.  Accordingt to a criminal complaint  Contreras was drinking beer and smoking meth before getting into a fight with the victim and shooting her. A Republican state senator from Brookfield is seriously considering running against Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin.   State senator Leah Vukmir says she is considering a run after several people encouraged her to get into the race.  Vukmir says Baldwin is out of touch with most Wisconsin residents. Veteran suicide awareness is the focus of a two day event in Fond du Lac this month.  Marian University and Moraine Park Technical College are teaming up to raise awareness of the veteran suicide rate. (AP) — Wisconsin lawmakers have moved a bill that would force guards at Wisconsin's troubled youth prison to report abuse to the brink of passage in the state Assembly.  The state Senate approved the measure last month.
