4-6 Campbellsport Mother And Son Make Initial Court Appearance

A mother and son suspected of selling heroin and Oxycodone out of a Campbellsport home made their initial appearances in Washington County Court this week. Bond was set at $50,000 cash for 57-year-old Lori Merget and her 31-year-old son William Merget of Campbellsport.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Dairy farms in Wisconsin and other states could be forced out of business as early as May because of a trade dispute that's halted the export of their milk to Canada. 4-6 Fatal Hit and Run Sentence

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A man accused of striking and killing a 5-year-old girl on a Milwaukee street and then driving off has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/2nNAtuQ ) that 31-year-old Sherman Liddell pleaded guilty in February to two felonies — hit-and-run involving death, and driving while suspended, causing death. 4-5-17 devries elected dodge county circuit judge

Dodge County Circuit Judge Martin DeVries has been elected.  Devries defeated Beaver Dam attorney, Randy Doyle, in Tuesday’s election for the Branch 2 seat.  Devries received 7.987 votes to 4.476 votes for Doyle.  DeVries was appointed to the bench last summer by Governor Scott Walker to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of judge John Storck.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Lowell Holtz says he hopes his losing campaign for state superintendent raised serious issues about education in Wisconsin. North Fond du lac School District voters have overwhelmingly approved a major building referendum .  A $27 million question for renovation work at the Early Learning Center and Friendship Learning Center was approved 897 yes votes to 427 no votes and a $2.5 million dollar question for deferred maintenance projects at Bessie Allen Middle School and Horace Mann High School was approved 935 yes votes to 380 no votes.  Superintendent […]

4-5-17 incumbents re-elected to fdl city council
