Two incumbents have been re-elected to the Waupun School Board.  Jennie Patrykus was the top vote getter with 926 votes.  Dylan Weber was re-elected to another three year term with 752 votes. 4-5-17 town of taycheeda races

There will be some new faces in Taycheeda town government following Tuesday’s election.  Kristin Marcoe defeated Ann Simon in the race for town clerk.  Marcoe received 609 votes to 143 for Simon.  Tim Simon and Bill Guis  were elected town board supervisors and Joseph Thome defeated Jerry Guelig 638 votes to 425 votes in the race for town chairman.

The Wisconsin State Assembly has recognized Jodi Schmidt from Oakfield as a “Hometown Hero.”    Schmidt, a third grade teacher at Oakfield Elementary School, was nominated by  State Representative, Jeremy Thiesfeldt, for donating one of her kidneys to 8-year-old student, Natasha Fuller.  "Its truly a gift that I don;t know how anybody could ever pay something back like that,"  Thiesfeldt told WFDL news.
