Beaver Dam Schools were closed Friday after a school administrator received a threatening email. The message referenced guns and explosives and made a specific threat to Beaver Dam High School. School officials closed schools throughout the entire district. Two students were questioned and police say they’re looking for a third student described as a juvenile in another state who recently hasn’t been attending classes. School officials said they hoped classes would resume Monday.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
