A new exhibit at the Fond du Lac Children’s Museum focuses on the factors that impact the healthy development of a child’s brain. Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held this week for the Agnesian HealthCare Brain Matters exhibit. Museum director, Andrea Welsch, says the giant, glowing brain sculpture measures 14 feet wide by 18 feet tall. “We are working with Agnesian HealthCare and we had a conversation with leaders there about a year ago. They talked to us about how many visits to the hospital could be prevented if we just had differences in our behaviors, and if we made different choices as individuals, ” Welsch told WFDL news.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
