The Fond du Lac High School production of Fiddler on the Roof is getting statewide recognition. The musical hs been awarded several Tommy Awards through the Overture Center in Madison including Outstanding Musical. Choir director Cory Schneider says as a result the students will perform at the Tommy Awards Program on Sunday, June 11th . The performance will take place in front of 2,000 people at the Overture Center for the Arts and will be rebroadcast on Wisconsin Public Television.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
