A $100,000 donation from the Fond du Lac Area Foundation is giving Agnesian HealthCare’s Hospice Home of Hope a significant boost. The donation comes as the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation works to raise the remaining $625,000 in funds needed to cover an expansion project. Agnesian officials say the addition of eight rooms is expected to address a waiting list as the need for hospice service continues to grow. The expansion is set to be completed this summer.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
