About 300 volunteers enjoyed a festive celebration - themed after the Kentucky Derby - during the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services annual volunteer recognition luncheon in late April. 5-5-17 campbellsport police chief resignation sparks online petition

The village of Campbellsport is looking for a new police chief after the chief announced he was resigning apparently over a dispute with the village board.    Chief Jay Zautner announced recently that he was stepping down, sparking an online petition that says village board politics is at least part of the reason.

5-5-17 air boat crashes into tree in dodge county

Three men were injured when their air boat crashed into a tree on a flooded portion of the Beaver Dam River.  Dodge County rescue personnel were called to the scene north of the Ranch Road boat launch shortly after 11pm Thursday.  Two occupants in the boat, from West Allis and Hales Corners, were ejected from the boat and received serious but non life-threatening injuries.  The boat operator received minor injuries. 5-5-17 grothman votes in favor of obamacare repeal

Relieved Republicans have pushed their prized health care bill through the House.  The mostly party-line 217-213 vote advances a bill that addresses their longtime pledge to erase the 2010 Obama health care law.   6th District Republican congressman Glenn Grothman voted in favor.    Grothman says people with pre-existing conditions will have health insurance available to them.  "Insurance companies will be obligated to offer insurance to people with pre-existing conditions.
