Gov. Scott Walker's proposal making Wisconsin the first state to require drug tests to receive Medicaid health benefits has won approval from the Legislature's budget-writing committee. 5-26-17 high traffic volume projected on interstate 41 this holiday weekend

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A new survey shows the top paid executive in Wisconsin is in the financial services industry. Calculations by The Associated Press and the executive data firm Equilar show Fiserv CEO Jeffery Yabuki tops the compensation list in Wisconsin, earning $21.2 million in 2016. 5-26-17 fatal plane crash victims identified

CHETEK, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials in northwestern Wisconsin have identified the teens involved in a fatal plane crash.  The Barron County Sheriff's Department says 17-year-old Owen Knutson died when the single-engine plane he was piloting crashed into a river in a rural area near Chetek Wednesday evening. 5-25-17 fire destroys abandoned pick-up truck in fdl

Fond du Lac police are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed an abandoned pick-up truck.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary told WFDL news on the scene that firefighters were called to the scene at 58 Doty Street shortly after 3pm Thursday to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.  O’Leary says it appears a circular saw was being used to cut up the vehicle, but is unsure if that started the fire.  […]

The Fond du Lac city council has rejected a request to rezone residential property to allow a used truck dealership to expand a parking lot. At their meeting Wednesday night the council voted 5-1 against the request by Lenz Truck after several residents of an adjacent condominium complex voiced their concerns.
