The director of the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says its designed to build on the success of Art on the Island at Lakeside Park. Craig Molitor says June 2nd through the 4th, Fond du Lac and the Lake Winnebago Region becomes art’s grand stage with the first Art All Around event. “We’re hoping that Art All Around becomes something over the years that will attract visitors to the community,” Molitor told WFDL news. Molitor says the expanded event starts Friday with Gallery Night. Other events this weekend include Art on the Farm, Art on Berger Plaza, Art on the Prairie and Sunday with Art on the Island. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
