Bail was set at $200 cash for a Fond du Lac woman accused of starting a shed on fire behind St. Paul’s Cathedral. Thirty two year old Lisa Bindert is charged with negligent handling of burning material, as a repeat offender. She was arrested Sunday afternoon after a shed fire broke out at 84 W. Division St. According to a criminal complaint witnesses told police Bindert poured what looked like lighter fluid on a bonfire and they saw the fire spread to the shed and her leaving the area.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
