6-15-17 mini van vs. tree crash sends two people to the hospital

A mini van versus tree crash in Fond du Lac sent two people to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.   Fire chief Pete O’Leary says rescue personnel were called to the intersection of  Arndt and Seymour Streets shortly after 6:30am Thursday.  O'Leary says an adult and child were transported to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment of lacerations.  The crash remains under investigation.

6-15-17 thunderstorm dumps heavy rain on area causing localized flooding

6-15-17 crow tests positive in fdl for west nile virus

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Department says a dead crow found by a Fond du Lac resident has tested positive for the West Nile virus.  This is the first bird that has tested positive for the virus in Fond du Lac County since surveillance began May 1st.  West Nile is spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito.  Mosquitos acquire the virus by feeding on infected […]

Waupun police say an elderly Waupun woman was transported to the hospital after she was found living in a house full of rubbish.  Police Lieutenant Jeremy Rasch says officers were called to make a welfare check at a home on Fond du Lac Street  and found the woman laying on the floor unable to get up.   Rasch says fire crews had to remove the front door to gain entrance. 6-15-17 senate approves tougher penalties for carjacking

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Penalties for carjacking would be increased under a bill approved by the Wisconsin state Senate.  The measure passed Wednesday comes amid increasing concerns about carjackings in Milwaukee, especially after a respected city home inspector was shot and killed during an attempted carjacking in March.  The Republican-sponsored bill would make carjacking a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison. 6-15-17 small plane violates restricted air space during trump visit

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The pilot of a small airplane got a military escort from F-16 fighter jets for apparently flying into presidential air space over Wisconsin.  Two F-16s intercepted the small Cessna on Tuesday and escorted it to Dodge County Airport.
