6-9-17 barn fire under investigation

The cause of a fire that destroyed a barn in Fond du Lac County Thursday  remains under investigation.   Firefighters were called to the Lawrence and Doro Kutz farm on Woodland Dr. in the  Town of Osceola to find the barn engulfed in flames.  The barn and its contents are considered a total loss.  It is believed that between 12 and 15 cows perished in the fire.   The cause […]

Governor Scott Walker is making a stop in Fond du Lac next week.  The governor will visit Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts and Mercury Marine Monday afternoon as part of what the governor’s office is calling the Creative Economy Tour.  Thelma executive director Kevin Miller says Thelma represents the community’s investment in the creative economy.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — New data shows Wisconsin's wolf population has grown to around 950 animals. The figures from Department of Natural Resources monitoring show between 925 and 952 wolves roam the state. That's up about 6 percent from the then-record count of 866 to 897 wolves last winter.
