(AP) — A Wisconsin company says a fourth worker has died after an explosion at its corn milling plant.  Didion Milling released a statement saying 46-year-old Angel Reyes died Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.  The company says Reyes was a pack operator at the plant and died from injuries he suffered in the explosion last week.  The blast and fire destroyed the corn milling […]

Fond du Lac’s oldest free summer brown bag lunch program feeds children and their families every Tuesday and Thursday  through August 24.   Barb Thill leads The Salvation Army Brown Bag Lunch Program which packed 12 tons of food into 12, 467 lunches last year.  This tradition launched in 1993.  2,600 lunches were packed that first year; each subsequent summer, the program increased.  This year’s projected total is 13,000.   The […]

6-6-17 fdl man convicted of 11th owi going to prison

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — A Fond du Lac man convicted of driving drunk eleven times has been sentenced to 4½ years in prison.  Steven Johnson will also serve five years of supervision once he's released from prison and perform 75 hours of community service.  Despite 10 prior drunken driving convictions, police say Johnson had a valid drivers' license when he was arrested Jan. 1 after a crash in downtown Appleton.
