A Sheboygan man received serious but non life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County. A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle operator, 49 year old Carl Hoffmann was southbound on Thill Road when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, slid across the road into a ditch. He was pinned under the motorcycle and he was not wearing a helmet. He was flown to Theda Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
