The Fond du Lac County Clerk says she is concerned about the Presidential Advisory Commission asking for voter data from states. The Commission was formed after president Donald Trump falsely claimed that voter fraud cost him the popular vote in last year’s election. The Commission sent a letter to states last week asking for about a dozen points of voter data, including birthdates and Social Security numbers. The state election commission responded that most of the information is available for a fee, but birthdates and Social Security numbers are private. Critics say the president is laying the groundwork to suppress voting.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
