todayJuly 19, 2017

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says she is confident a popular Mexican restaurant in Fond du Lac is addressing health violations.  Kim Mueller says Mazatlan restaurant on south Main Street shut down voluntarily last week after a health inspection found evidence of cockroaches in the building.  “We try to hold all of our restaurants to a high standard to make sure that we protect the public’s health,”  Mueller told WFDL news.  “Once we detect that there is something going on we will come up with a game plan with each restaurant to make sure that they follow that plan.”  A recent health inspection on July 13 found evidence of cockroaches in the kitchen and storage areas.  Insects were also observed on inspections conducted on May 17 of this year and in February and July of 2016.   All area food establishments and restaurant inspection reports are available on the Fond du Lac County Health Department’s website.
