A fire that destroyed a Fond du lac police squad car is not suspicious and appears to be mechanical in nature. Firefighters were called to the scene at the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center at 459 East First Street Thursday afternoon to find the squad fully involved in fire. The vehicle was located in close proximity to the building which forced patients and staff to be relocated. Fond du Lac fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire, but not before heavy damage was caused to the vehicle.
