Circuit Court Judge Dale English and Teen Court Coordinator, Michele Mailand, presented Grant Petik with a $1000 scholarship. Grant has spent the last 6 years as a committed volunteer to the Fond du Lac Teen Court program. He has participated in nearly 100 jury trials as either defense, prosecuting attorney, clerk, bailiff or juror. Grant has been seen by his peers as a leader and strong positive role model to all those around him and has made a big difference to juvenile offenders through restorative practices. Grant plans to study engineering this fall at UW-Madison. The Fond du Lac County Teen Court Program is diversion program for Juvenile First Time Offenders between the ages of 12-16. Juvenile Offenders that come before Teen Court are judged by a jury of their peers. Teen Court is currently taking volunteer applications.
