The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is identifying the two individuals killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.
62-year-old Robert Kelsey was mowing his lawn with a riding mower just before 7:00 Saturday night, according to the Sheriff.
He turned onto the road to turn around, when a motorcycle operated by 20-year-old Robert Dawson came flying in and collided with him.
Both men, from rural Columbus, died at the scene on Hall Road.
Deputies say speed does appear to be a factor in the crash, with some reports indicating the motorcycle was traveling more than 100 miles per hour as it came over the hill.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
