The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has identified a drowning victim in a residential swimming pool in Campbellsport. Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the village of Campbellsport Thursday night and recovered a 36-year-old female from the 5’ deep pool. Resuscitation efforts were successful in gaining a pulse and Jessica Meyer was ultimately transported to St. Agnes Medical Center. Her condition was not disclosed. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Campbellsport EMS and First Responders as well as the City of Fond du Lac Ambulance. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
