7-11-17 hwy 45 crash victims identified

The victims of a serious injury head on collision south of Fond du Lac last week have been identified.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says a car driven by 23 year old Kevin Knippel from Merrill, Wisconsin crossed the center line on Highway 45 near Waucousta, striking a northbound vehicle.  Knippel and a passenger, Amber Wiedmeyer from Merrill were flown by helicopter to the hospital.  The driver of […]

7-10-17 plastic microbeads found in lake winnebago

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A new study is raising concerns about the safety of eating fish from a lake in eastern Wisconsin.  Research conducted by scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Superior found that small pieces of plastic have skirted the wastewater treatment process and ended up in Lake Winnebago.
