DELAVAN, Wis. (AP) — The staff at a Wisconsin petting zoo says their two 7-week-old Siberian lynx have gone missing.  Animal Gardens caretaker Danette Vincenti says that the staff at the Delavan facility last saw the lynx about 5 p.m. Monday. 7-6-17 malfunction causes fdl tornado sirens to sound

Fond du Lac County emergency management says a malfunction caused the tornado sirens to sound in the city of Fond du Lac  Wednesday afternoon.  Emergency management director Bobbie Hicken says there was a malfunction  and the city electrician is working to fix the problem.  There was NO tornado watch or warning.

7-6-17 lake deneveu drowning victim identified

Authorities have identified the victim of  an apparent drowning on Lake Deneveu in Fond du Lac County.   The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the victim has been identified as 23 year old Steven Wade of Delafield.  Rescue personnel responded Tuesday afternoon to a report of  a swimmer who was underwater after having a medical incident on the lake.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Dive Team was able […]

7-5-17 motorcycle crash

A Sheboygan man received serious but non life-threatening injuries in  a motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County.  A preliminary investigation  shows  the motorcycle operator, 49 year old Carl Hoffmann was southbound  on Thill Road when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, slid across the road into a ditch.  He was pinned under the motorcycle and he was not wearing a helmet.  He was flown to Theda Medical Center […]

7-5-17 retlaw hotel renovation update

The new owner of the downtown Fond du Lac Retlaw Hotel says construction on a multi-million dollar renovation of the building is expected to start this month.   Dennis Doucette says the final hurdle was cleared recently when the project was able to receive historic tax credits.   C.D.
