Waupun Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a free community rummage for local residents. The sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 3 in the hospital’s Marsh Conference Room. It will feature gently-used clothing for all ages and sizes, just in time for back to school. Participants have the opportunity to donate one non-perishable food item for the Waupun Food Pantry.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
